Getting Back On Track

As many of you may have noticed, there haven't been many posts lately. No excuses here. Life throws us curveballs, and we just have to wait on the pitch a little longer. A little news, I'm putting The Colliding Empires short story series on hold for a bit. Yes, I've been stuck on the current story in the series, but the main reason is because I'm going to be focusing on a novel that is in the brainstorming/planning phase. I want to try and focus on that for the time being. Also, I've sent Shindarin Rising out to one more small press, and I'm currently waiting to hear back. If I get the rejection this time, I'm officially going to put it in the Shelved Novels folder and concentrate on my current works. The story has a lot of problems. I know this, and since it was my first ever completed novel, I'm really not surprised. I've spent so much time with that story that, at times, I'm not sure how much I want to work with it. I believe the premise of the story is a great idea. I'm just not sure how effective I delivered it. If it is rejected, I'll let it simmer on the sidelines and try and come back and rewrite it fresh.

That's the update for now. Thanks for reading!

Mages were a hot commodity in the Imperial Army as it swept across the continent claiming new lands for its own. Magic turned the tide in battle for whichever side had the most numerous mages. While ability helped greatly, a large number of fledgling mages could overcome a seasoned magical user in due time, at th
